CPI of Hubei went up by 5.8 percent in 2011

The Consumer price index (CPI) of Hubei province has gone up by 5.8 percent in 2011, which has been the highest in three years. The CPI of last December has gone up by 4.4 percent compared with that of the same period last year.

The growth rate saw a 0.1 percent decrease compared to November and was the same as in October 2010. The overall prices of the eight varieties of goods that make up the CPI saw a year-on-year increase. The assortment of foods in this category has gone up by nine percent compared to the same period last year and has raised the overall price by 2.8 percent. It is the main contributor to the rising prices.
