Xiangfan High-Tech Development Zone

In 1992, the state council approved the establishment of Xiangfan Hi-Tech Development Zone. Later in 2005, the Hu Bei Provincial government approved a new zone which combined the former Hi-Tech Development Zone with the Automobile Industry Development Zone. The newly set up zone takes charge of the High-Tech Industrial Park, Automobile Industry Development Zone and the Shenzhen Industrial Park. It is now the concentrated zone of the automobile industries and defense firms. It covers up a total area about 96 square kilometers with the population of 120,000, which gathered the intelligence groups from Chong Qing, Shan Xi, Hu Nan and He Nan.

Xiangfan High-Tech Development Zone

Xiangfan Hi-Tech Development Zone is the main production base of the Dong feng commercial vehicle and high-grade passengers' cars. And the most parts of the production line are assembled here. The zone today is on its way to the brand new automobile center. The vehicle manufacturing ranges from the commercial vehicles to the high-grade trucks. In addition to the vehicle manufacturing, the zone is also being shaped as the most developed vehicle key parts production base. It can produce the engines, axle, seat angles and etc. All give it the honor as the one of the seven production bases in China. Additionally, the surrounding small and medium size enterprises of meter, battery, auto locks and so on gather up the specific investment environment.

Being equiped with the most advanced development center and the most functional Automotive Proving Ground, Xiangfan Hi-Tech Development Zone has already been the leading stream of the national experimental base and it is also stepping to the leading teams in Asia. We have already attracted the investment form the powerful corporations around the world—Peugeot Citroen, Cummins Inc, Yue Loong Motor Company, Nissan, Calsonic Kansei, Dana Corporation U.S and etc. Their large scale investment significantly forms the auto-production chain lines from design, testing, manufacturing to logistics.

Xiangfan Hi-Tech Development Zone is developing rapid now. Among all the 430 enterprises here, 161 high-Tec companies take up 84%, forming the leading three high-Tec streams as Aerospace, Mechartonics, and New materials. Taking Aerospace Lifesaving Equipment Co, Ltd for example, it is one of the biggest aerospace lifesaving companies, it mainly produces the aircraft rescuing seat and it owns the only one Rocket Sled slide test site in Asia. The aerospace chemical dynamics mainly probes into the energetic materials; the other electric co operations inside the zone gather up to a large-scale motor group whose sales take up more than 70% of the total sales in the same national marketing sales. The Hua Guang Company, State Grid Insulation Company, Haitian Rubber Ltd are the three leading streams in the new material field in the zone, and they mainly devotes to the production of the specialized optical glass, composite insulator and automotive adhesives. No doubts their production step into the first ranks around the nation.
