After an in-depth study in 2011, officials of Wudang Mountain will implement a floating ticket price system in scenic spots starting on Feb 15, 2012 after obtaining approval by the provincial and municipal price bureau.

Prices in peak and off-season are: 90yuan/person uphill and 80yuan/person downhill; 70 yuan/person uphill and 60yuan/person downhill in the off-season (the off-season lasts for 3 months from Nov 1 to Jan 31).

Downward prices in the off-season can benefit local tourists, especially those from low-income groups.

To adapt to the peak season and improve the efficiency of ropeway transportation, the Taihe Cableway Co., Ltd. has conducted a scientific investigation in 2010.

The company later changed the traditional 2-seats cabin of single-cable reversible fixed grips into an 8-seats cabin of a single-cable reversible detachable grips manufactured by the Austrian Doppelmayr Group.

Reconstruction of cableways was put into operation on Oct 16, 2010. The trial price for cableways was approved by the provincial price bureau at 80 yuan/person uphill and 70 yuan/person downhill.

The floating prices will last for one year. Until now, the reconstructed cableway has operated safely for over one year.
