More than 2,000 outdoor enthusiasts took part in the third Yichang Outdoor Cultural Tourism Festival, which was held on August 11 in Zigui county, Yichang city, in central China’s Hubei province.

Chuyun travel agency, one of the major travel agencies in Zigui, is focusing on the national tourism market and started its promotional campaign in Henan province, with support from the county’s Culture and Tourism Bureau.

Most of the major travel agencies in Henan province are now actively promoting Zigui tours, creating a trend for trips to Zigui, with about 35,000 visitors from Henan in the first half of the year.

The Henan Outdoor Alliance and the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Zigui co-organized the outdoor cultural tourism festival as part of the county’s promotional campaign, and the event was such a hit that the organizers had to limit the number of participants.

The festival featured activities such as a dragon boat race and an outdoor photography competition.

Over the past few months, many major travel agencies in Henan have visited Zigui to conduct market research, and many of these agencies have signed long-term cooperation contracts with Chuyun travel agency.

The Wantong international travel agency has purchased 50,000 entrance tickets for the Sea of Bamboos scenic area at the Three Gorges scenic area of Zigui, and is focusing on the promotion of tours to the county.
