The Changsha Shitong Paper and Plastic Products and Chopsticks Co, founded in 2004, deals in R&D, production and sales of disposable paper cups and plates and bamboo chopsticks, with its products enjoying good sales in Japan, Europe, the US, and Southeast Asia, especially the paper cups and chopsticks.

It has 40 paper-cup production lines, which can produce more than 20,000 boxes a month, and four production linest that can produce 3,000 boxes of paper bowls and 4,000 boxes of paper plates a month. Its paper cups got General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine approval in June 2008, and its “Nashiyu” trademark has been recognized as a famous Hunan brand for years.

The company worked with a famous Chinese paper-maker, in 2009, to develop a non-bleaching, leakage-proof paper cup, which is environmentally friendly and has had good market reception globally. It got a national utility patent, on Aug 3, 2011. The company also changed the size of its paper cups to save paper and bring down transportation costs.
