Songyahu Junior High School was built in 2010 alongside Songya Lake, in the town of Xingsha, Changsha county, with a floors space of 49,000 square meters on a 10.7-hectare piece of land, at a cost of 169 million yuan from local government funding.
It has Internet access and modern labs, and multimedia equipment for recording and broadcasting, and audio-visual classrooms.
Changsha seeks to revive porcelain production
In recent years, the local government has sought to revive the region's long tradition in porcelain making and boost local industry with the cultural influence of ancient Tongguan kilns, which have a history of 1,200 years.
