Huang Xing’s Residence |
Huang Xing’s Residence is in the town of Huang Xing not far from Changsha city’s downtown.
It was built in the first year of the Tongzhi emperor's reign (1862) and is the birthplace, on Oct 25, 1874, of a father of the 1911 revolution. He lived here for 22 years. In 1980, the residence became a Memorial Hall, and a year later, the farmers living in the area were moved out and the residence was restored as a provincial relic, then came under State Council protection in 1988.
