At the end of the peak summer transportation period, each production index of Changsha Huanghua International Airport broke a record.

Up to Aug 31, the total passenger throughput of Huanghua International Airport reached 11.94 million and the number of flights exceeded 100,000, increasing respectively 12.3 percent and 10.3 percent over the same period last year.

In August, passenger throughput at the airport reached 1.82 million and total aircraft flights amounted to 15,100, both numbers breaking previous records. Meanwhile, there were nine days in August with one-day passenger flows exceeding 60,000.

Until now, there have been 49 domestic and overseas airlines in Huanghua Airport, with 97 navigable points in China and 158 air routes opened. New navigable points and air routes will be added.

Huanghua International Airport and China Southern Airlines Company put forward the seamless transfer service, through which passengers can transfer in Changsha without changing tickets, transferring their luggage or going through security checks.

During the summer transportation peak, Huanghua Airport carried out three emergency exercises of large-scale flight delays and dealt with five actual large-scale flight delays.
