A farmer was pouring out a bag of grain on cemented ground to let it dry in the sun in Jingdingshan village, Chunhua town – this moment was captured by Huang Shuo, a social worker in Changsha county with her camera. The photo won first prize in the county’s Lehe (literally cheerful) Countryside Social Worker Photography Contest, which is carried out among the 25 Lehe villages in the county.
The Lehe village program is a comprehensive rural construction experimental project brought in by Changsha county Party Committee and government, with technological and social worker support from Beijing Global Village, a non-profit non-governmental environmental protection organization.
