The native Oriental Cherry in an ecological park in Changsha recently blossomed half a month earlier than its usual flower phase, which generally falls on early March.
Experts said that it is unusual to see Chinese cherry trees blossoming so early, which is mainly caused by the warmer weather this winter compared to the same period last year.
Therefore, this year, cherry blossoming is expected to coincide with the Spring Festival holidays, hopefully bringing a visual feast for local residents.
