Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone receives investment

Updated: 2016-11-09

Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone expects an import-export volume of about $800 million after signing agreements green-lighting 10 projects on Nov 5.

The bonded zone, located to the west of Changsha Huanghua International Airport in Changsha county, aims to further boost an already thriving economy in Hunan.

Projects include the assembling of high-performance Solid State Disks (SSD) initiated by Hunan Goke Microelectronics, and the development of an international logistics platform for handling import and export mail initiated by the Hunan branch of China Postal Express and Logistics, a leading Chinese logistics enterprise.

Approved by the State Council in May this year, the bonded zone will focus on cutting-edge industries, such as digital information, biological medicine, advanced equipment and precision instruments.

It aims to introduce more than 80 foreign trade enterprises and bring in a total import-export volume of $5 billion by May of 2020.

"The local government will offer a favorable environment and services to support the projects," said head of Changsha county, Zeng Chaoqun, at the signing ceremony.

It is hoped that the projects can be completed and in service by next May.
