Erdos big data forum opens

The Erdos Big Data Emerging Industry Development Forum was held on August 19.

The Forum was jointly held by the Erdos government and the local airport logistics park's management committee, and undertaken by the Jiahua (Erdos) Technology Company. More than 130 scholars and experts attended the event.

Liu Yuhua, deputy Party secretary of Erdos, said that the local government would give full support to the development of the big data industry. Building a ‘smart’ Erdos will play an important role in the city's development, help upgrade traditional industries and raise the city's comprehensive competitiveness.

"Jiahua (Erdos) Technology has been responsible for building a big data center in Erdos, as well as a series of big data systems to serve a smart city, government administration, e-commerce, logistics and business energy conservation," said Li Wei, president of the company, which also offers data storage, analysis and data mining services.

The big data center will house a group of enterprises engaging in big data collection, storage and analysis and introduce and nurture 100 high-end skilled professionals to form a big data industry worth 10 billion yuan, according to Li.

Forum participants exchanged innovative ideas on the big data industry and smart city development in Erdos. Experts had in-depth discussions on the big data center project and relevant technology, business models and industrial chain integration. They also discussed the existing big data development model and explored the possibilities of introducing skills and industrial development.
