The representatives from the border organs of 15 countries, including China, Mongolia, Russia and India, were on hand at the seminar, as well as representatives of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The seminar focused on four topics: the significance of border cooperation in fighting the “three forces” of terrorism, extremism and separatism; relations between border cooperation and border stability; the impact of border emergencies to border stability; and the multilateral law enforcement mechanism’s role in maintaining border stability. The attendees have reached an extensive consensus regarding strengthening border organ friendly exchange, joint law enforcement, response to unexpected border events, carrying out border trade, border economic development and combating the three forces.
