International matouqin academic seminar opens in Inner Mongolia

A matouqin performer from Mongolia tries to play an ancient type of matouqin on Oct 10 at the first China International Matouqin Academic Seminar, taking place in Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia autonomous region. The two-day event attracted more than 100 matouqin performers and experts from China, Mongolia and Japan. Matouqin, or horse-head fiddle, is a traditional Mongolian instrument. [Photo/Xinhua]
