The park is located in the northeast of Inner Mongolia. It is home to luxuriant trees, rippling rivers and brooks, and diverse vegetation and animals. The park’s advantageous forest, folk customs, and ice and snow resources give a boost to its tourism industry. To date, it has been an ideal choice for holidays, ecology study and extreme challenges in the north, and often bracketed with Xishuangbanna in South China. The latter is a very popular tourism destination for beautiful natural scenery in Yunnan province.

In addition to this new title as one of China’s most beautiful places, the park has been hailed as the “Most Popular Scenic Area for Forest Travel,” “China’s Most Beautiful National Park” and the “Most Enchanting Place.”

The 2014 China’s Most Beautiful List has two sub-lists, China’s Most Beautiful Tourism Destinations: Cities and China’s Most Beautiful Tourism Destinations: Scenic Areas. The list’s winners have to go through four stages, including Internet poll, comprehensive analysis, expert assessment and media supervision.

The Moridaga National Forest Park was listed for its unique ecological tourism, natural health care tourism and folk customs.
