The city of Wuhai, in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, had to process its import and export procedures at a customs office about 400 kilometers away from the city, which caused much inconvenience in the clearance of customs. Now, the problem is solved because Wuhai’s application for a customs office in the city has been approved by the State, so from now on, Wuhai customs will be in charge of the customs affairs of Wuhai and three other towns located in Alxa League and Ordos city.

Inner Mongolia applied for a customs office with the State Council last October, and was only recently approved.
