Zabaykalsky Krai, a federal subject of Russia, held its investment potential promotion conference in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region’s capital, Hohhot, on Nov 3.
The top officials from both sides, including the governor and vice-chairman of Zabaykalsky Krai and vice-chairman of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, were on hand at the conference.
Zabaykalsky Krai is one of Inner Mongolia’s important cooperation partners in Russia, with energetic cooperation in the fields of trade, tourism, culture and environmental protection. Also, Krai is a major destination for Inner Mongolia’s Russia-oriented investment.
To date, the autonomous region has already set up 22 investment enterprises in Zabaykalsky Krai, covering forest logging, wood processing, planting and mineral exploitation, said Yun Guangzhong, vice-chairman of Inner Mongolia, at the conference. Yun went on that the Inner Mongolia government encourages more local enterprises to invest in Zabaykalsky Krai.
Konstantin Ilkovsky, governor of Zabaykalsky Krai, introduced at the conference that Krai is rich in mineral resources and has abundant potential in regards to resources and agriculture development. Also, the governor said, Zabaykalsky Krai has provided preferential policies for foreign investors. He extended a welcome to those who recognize Zabaykalsky Krai as a destination for cooperation and investment.
A total of over 120 attendees from Inner Mongolia’s corresponding units and enterprises presented at the promotion conference.
