Fuzhou city will have two new trains bound for Hohhot in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region in December, according to a fine-tuned national railway route plan.
The plan, released by the China Railway Corporation, adjusted some railway routes in Fujian province, which will be implemented on Dec 10.
Fuzhou and Hohhot, for example, will be linked by direct trains, K1316/7 and K1315/8 for the first time. The travel time is about 43 hours from Fujian to Hohhot (35 stops) and 45 hours the other way around (37 stops).
In addition, there will be a new high-speed train, D671/2, connecting Fuzhou and Shenzhen in Guangdong province. And the K1682, which used to operate the Fuzhou-Changsha route, will halt its service.
The local railway station has called on residents to check the altered schedule by Dec 10.
