E-business platforms to reach eight total in Inner Mongolia

The results of a thorough survey on the Inner Mongolia autonomous region's cross-border e-business showed that there are eight e-business platforms in the region, most of them are scattered in the cities of Manzhouli and Erenhot with most business carried out with Russia and Mongolia.

To date, there is only one Inner Mongolia e-business platform being put into official operation. The other seven platforms are still under construction.

According to the incomplete statistics, more than 30 enterprises are already engaged in cross-border e-business. Most of these are located in the cities of Hohhot, Baotou and Chifeng. Through domestic e-commerce platforms like Alibaba and Tmall, these enterprises export their goods to foreign countries and regions, including the US, South Korea and Germany.
