Erenhot port in Inner Mongolia autonomous region |
As an exit port of the China-Europe Railways' middle channel, Erenhot Port in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region has handled the clearance of 15 cargo trains from September 2013, when a container train departed from Sichuan province's Chengdu and headed to Europe through Erenhot, until this February.
The 15 trains were loaded with 12,300 tons of cargo in total. The first train was from Chengdu. Eleven of them left Henan province's Zhengzhou. Three of them came from Hunan province.
Further promoting the Belt and Road initiatives, the China-Europe Railways' container trains through Erenhot went smoothly and normally, according to officials of Erenhot customs.
A great variety of goods, including clothes, daily appliances and mechanical equipment, were transported to European countries such as Poland, Italy, Ukraine and Hungary by these trains.
The customs of Erenhot gives support for the launch and operation of these cargo trains. It carried multiple measures to guarantee high-quality and efficient inspection and clearance services.
