Inner Mongolia, Guangdong vow to strengthen tourism cooperation

Zhao Yufang, vice-governor of South China’s Guangdong province vowed to share tourism resources with North China’s Inner Mongolia and promote the tourists sources exchange, at the 2015 Guangdong-Inner Mongolia Tourism Promotion Conference on July 17.

Led by Zhao, a delegation from Guangdong Tourism Bureau paid an official visit to Inner Mongolia to attend the tourism promotion conference.

Guangdong and Inner Mongolia are complementary in terms of geographical locations and tourism resources, which promise great potential for cooperation, according to Zhao.

The two regions will focus on sharing tourism resources while discussing tourists sources exchange. Meanwhile, the two regions will work together to develop travel routes, tourism projects and cooperation mechanisms.

A cooperation framework agreement was reached between Guangdong and Inner Mongolia’s top tourism authorities at the day, while 10 agreements on tourists sources and investment were signed between agencies and enterprises from the two parties.

Cooperative mechanisms for coordination, emergencies, law enforcement and complaints will be established between the two regions’ tourism authorities, according to the framework agreement.

The agreement also selected 12 tourism companies as representatives of tourism promotion for both parties, including five from Inner Mongolia.
