The first think tank forum for China, Russia and Mongolia was held in Ulan Bator, capital of Mongolia, on Sept 17, where a think tank cooperation association was set up between the three sides.

Representatives from think tanks in all three countries exchanged views on strategy, facilities, culture exchange, and economic cooperation.
The forum passed a charter for the association, in which the president units will be the development research center of Inner Mongolia and the Academies of Science of Russia and Mongolia. About 30 other units will be members.
The think tank association has far-reaching implications for the three countries because of its ability to provide intelligence support.
Diplomatic representatives from the three countries addressed the association and more than 120 representatives joined the forum.
The forum was co-organized by the International Cooperation Bureau of the Development Research Center of China’ State Council, Development Research Center of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region of China, the Far East research institute of Russia’s Academy of Sciences, Mongolia’s Academy of Sciences and the National University of Mongolia.
