Inner Mongolia improves fitness facilities

Inner Mongolia’s Bureau of Sports has equipped 2,000 fitness facilities in the region’s gacha- a village-level administrative division -with investment of 100 million yuan ($15.76 million) in 2015.

Since the region launched its Ten Full Coverage project- which aims to improve public services in rural pasturing areas from ten aspects- the bureau has integrated its fitness project to reach full coverage of centers and small-sized squares for sports activities in the gacha-villages.

The region built 4,383 public fitness centers and squares by the end of 2014 in the gacha-villages, covering 41 percent of the total. Moreover, the Bureau of Sports will work for full coverage of sports facilities in the region’s gacha by the end of 2016.
