As night falls, Bayanhot in Alxa League, Inner Mongolia blazes with lights and colors. The night scene is an attraction for some of the town’s visitors.
Sitting next to Helan Mountain in the east and Tengger Desert in the west, the town of Bayanhot was built during the reign of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The word “Bayanhot” means “affluent town” in Mongolian. It has attracted an increasing number of tourists for its picturesque scenery and unique ethnic culture in recent years.
