New-energy buses to hit road in Baotou

The city of Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region has announced that it will put 200 new-energy buses into service on 12 routes this month, according to Baotou Evening News of Jan 14, quoting the Baotou Bus Group, who say that the city wants get 460 new-energy buses in the system in 2016.

The new buses are more comfortable because of their air-conditioning and are eco-friendly, compared with the older gas-powered models and the city says it will change some bus stop names for the new system.
