Chinese university head gets Mongolia appointment

The president of Inner Mongolia Normal University, Yun Guohong, got recognition by Mongolia's National University of Education as an honorary professor, with a ceremony held recently at his school, with Manduhu, president of the Mongolian university taking part.

In making the appointment, the academic board of the Mongolian school said that the two schools have worked together on culture, art, sports, and science after signing a cooperation agreement, that has benefitted both teachers and students as well as cooperation between China and Mongolia in education.

It said that Yun, who is also a PhD supervisor, has made an important contribution to Sino - Mongolian university cooperation, against the background of the "Belt and Road Initiative" program.

Yun told the ceremony that he will continue with activities that are more productive and conducive to the development of the two schools and will take this opportunity to push cooperation between the two to a higher level and that he hopes the friendship will last forever.

Afterwards, the two leaders discussed their views on cooperation and reached an agreement on cooperation in scientific research, arts, sports, and building Sino-foreign educational institutions.
