Tapping PPP potential up north

The city of Baotou, Inner Mongolia says it is making progress in promoting public-private partnership (PPP) projects, having put nine of them – two at the national level,five at the regional, and two at city level into operation in 2015, according to a Baotou Daily report of April 8.

The Chinese government has been championing the PPP model as the preferred way to get private public capital into infrastructure and public utility projects. This year Baotou has been vigorous in the work, with 129 projects proposed across 13 industries recently for training, matching and financing. The final choices will begin work by the end of this May.
