There was a meeting in Chongqing, on Aug 2, to announce the establishment of an international "Single-window" trade system in China's interior, involving the mega city of Chongqing, the provinces of Shanxi, Jiangxi, and Guizhou, and the Ningxia and Inner Mongolia autonomous regions.
This "Single-window" system in inland border regions is expected to help with their opening up and to contribute to the "Belt and Road" Initiative, according to Han Jian, a deputy head of the national port office.
The single window system allows international traders to submit the necessary documents at a single location, after which they go to a trade management department, and the platform can efficiently handle the information.
