Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner to host general airport

Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner of Baotou is to build an airport, according to local media, with the project set to cover an area of 54.8 hectares and receive an investment of 96 million yuan ($13.9 million).

The project will include a 1200 meter-long runway, a runway which measures 173 meters in length and 15 meters in width, a plane docking area of over 8000 square meters, and a modern airport terminal.

The airport will connect the area with other Inner Mongolia autonomous region destinations including Baotou, Hohhot, Urad Middle Banner, and Ordos.
