Tumd Right Banner has accelerated its pace of industrialization by focusing on the coal, coal chemical and new energy industries. It had initially formed six leading industries, involving electricity, solar photovoltaic energy, coal chemical, the deep processing of non-ferrous metals, natural gas liquefaction and agricultural and livestock products.

By the end of 2015, the regional GDP is expected to reach 50 billion yuan ($7.85 billion), with fiscal revenues amounting to 5 billion yuan, per capita disposable incomes of urban residents of 34,300 yuan and per capita net incomes of farmers 17,800 yuan. The urban population will reach 200,000 and the urbanization rate will exceed 55 percent.
