Baotou reports better economic performance in Q1

The city of Baotou has announced that its total output value in the first quarter of 2016 amounted to 81 billion yuan ($12.5 billion), an increasing of 8 percent over the same last year period and the sign of sound economic performance for this year.
Added value output of primary industries witnessed a year-on-year increase of 3 percent, while secondary industries saw theirs increase by 8 percent and tertiary industries, by 8.2 percent.
At the same time, fixed capital investment reached 15 billion yuan, for an increase of 14.6 percent and overall retail sales (consumer goods) stood at 32 billion yuan, up 9.5 percent, and budget revenues reached 7.5 billion yuan for a year-on-year increase of 10 percent.
