In a recent report on air pollution and prevention in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, the city of Baotou came out on top among its cities and banners, maintaining its position in first place that it reached last year, through greater prevention work in years.

The city says it worked on 148 industrial pollution projects and has achieved some notable progress in energy structure optimization in the 2014 – 15 period, and it set up a command center and an air quality forecast and warning center for greater supervision across the city.
