Culture festival showcases Mongolian features
The fifth China Nomadic Culture Tourism Festival which opened in Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner of Baotou on July 22, is highlighting Mongolian grassland culture with 113 different activities, according to Inner Mongolia Daily.
The 80-day festival will run until Oct 12.
Also, a Nadam fair, which is in its 28th session, opened on the same day.
“Nadam is one of the most important events of our banner, and provides a good chance to experience grassland culture,” said a Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner herdsman, who has joined the event with his family for five consecutive years.
