Firefighting drills organized by the Tourist Commission took place at the Ramada Hotel in Qiandeng town, Kunshan city on July 23. All 35 security and engineering managers from 22 hotels and restaurants actively participated in the drill. Staff members from the Ramada Hotel helped with the evacuation, while members from other hotels and restaurants acted as guests.

The drill began with an alarm at 10:00 am. Hotel staff immediately and systematically began the evacuation. Hotel firefighters arrived first on the scene and initially controlled the fire. Within less than five minutes, firefighters from the fire department arrived. They extinguished the fire and rescued the injured. Then medical personnel arrived and helped the injured. The responders also taught staff how to deal with different wounds. Joint cooperation made the whole event a success.

To ensure secure and orderly travel, tourist sectors always prioritize tourist security. Moreover, in collaboration with security and other relevant tourist departments, the tourist commission not only conducts security supervisions on tourist enterprises but also carries out safety inspections on festivals and holidays. They emphasized that restaurants and hotels should make constant efforts to conduct drills and remind tourists about travel security.
