The under-construction middle ring fast road in Kunshan of Jiangsu province, functioning as an expressway between the central city and rural areas, will highlight a smart transport system. The road is expected to open to traffic soon.

The smart system involves electronic information boards, traffic-flow sensors and cameras for traffic surveillance.

Along the road, there will be 18 electronic boards that will cast real-time traffic information about the middle ring fast road and its secondary routes. The traffic-flow sensors can transmit real-time information to the smart transport system that will help support traffic management. In addition, more than 360 cameras will be installed to monitor the traffic conditions and record traffic violations.
