The awards ceremony for the television industry in China's cities and counties was held in Bacheng town, Kunshan city on Oct 11, attracting guests from some 200 TV stations.
Selecting from 916 entries, 40 TV programs, 62 specials and 19 variety shows were finally selected for prizes, along with 10 TV hosts and 20 announcers.
The local documentary My Kunqu Opera Dream and the special My Timeless Mountain Life, as well as the news anchor Li Songwei, were among the winners.

The sideline of the ceremony was a forum themed on the development of new media in China, which usually contains interactive user feedback and creative participation, but is still in need of increasing its connection to traditional forms of media.
Experts from Beijing and Shanghai shared their ideas about new media, and gave lectures on building a comprehensive new media platform, which can tailor information to the needs of individual users.

The ceremony also staged a variety of shows, featuring folk songs, pipa (Chinese lute) and guzheng (Chinese zither), Kunqu Opera classics and original crab dances.
