APEC Voices of the Future begins in Zhouzhuang

Five to ten people from the 160 Chinese contestants will win entrance tickets to the 2015 APEC Summit in the Philippines to propose business bills for China during the six-day APEC Voices of the Future event. It kicked off in Zhouzhuang, a famous water town in Kunshan city, on July 12.
The APEC Voices of the Future, dating back to 1998, is the key platform for "Youth Voice" at the annual APEC Summit.
The event aims to provide young students in Asian-Pacific region with opportunities to learn, engage and build networks with business leaders from the different economies and international vision.
The qualification trials in China have been held for eight years in a row since 2007.
Since the selection activity began in April, lots of students from more than 100 colleges and universities across nation had signed up and 160 have been short listed for the final in Zhouzhuang.
Way back in 2001, informal meetings of APEC trade ministers were held on the Zhouzhuang Boat which has become a must-see place now.
