Delegation to promote Nantong-HK cooperation

With the mission of promoting cooperation between Nantong and Hong Kong, a delegation from Nantong Association of Hong Kong visited Nantong, Jiangsu province, on Sept 5.

During their tours, the delegation visited Nantong Binhai Park and Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area.

After the visit, Yang Yaozhong, head of the association, said that he was impressed to see the great changes in Nantong's economy as well as its culture, education and environment. He assured that, on behalf of the association, he will continue to help with the city's development.

The association, founded in 2005, is dedicated to serve Nantong natives who work and live in Hong Kong and help them support their hometown. Now, Hong Kong is the largest investor in Nantong with investment programs totaling 3,000.

Ding Dawei, Party chief of the city, said that the Nantong Association of Hong Kong has made great efforts in promoting economic and cultural exchanges between the two places by encouraging the businessmen of Nantong origin to invest in their hometown. Ding expected that more people will join together to contribute to the city's development.
