The Intellectual Property Office in Jiangsu Province recently released its reappraisals of three intellectual property demonstration zones in the East China coastal province, according to local officials.

They said the provincial IP demonstration zones, which had completed their demonstration stage, passed the reexaminations.

The successful zones are the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Zone in the prefecture-level city of Nantong, the Haimen Economic and Technological Development Area in the Haimen district of Nantong, and the Rugao Economic and Technological Development Zone in Rugao city, administered by Nantong.

In recent years, Nantong has been implementing an innovation-driven development strategy, in a bid to raise the public's awareness of IP rights and boost independent innovation.

Officials said the city plans to promote its transformation and upgrading and high-quality development through the construction of IP demonstration zones.

At present, Nantong has seven national intellectual property demonstration zones and 16 provincial intellectual property demonstration zones.
