NETDA launches slew of events to entertain residents

The Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area (NETDA) – located in Nantong city, in East China's Jiangsu province -- has launched a raft of stimulating intellectual and fun cultural activities to lift spirits and enrich the leisure of its residents, according to local officials.

A lot of the action will happen in the first small multi-purpose theater in the NETDA -- the Nengda Theater – which officially opened on Nov 7, 2020. It comes equipped with complete infrastructure, all the latest functions and a first-class stage -- where drama, dance, opera, variety shows, lectures and other art fests will be staged by turns.

V.O.P jazz band

The V.O.P jazz band -- a six-piece group -- combines the elements of jazz, blues, funk and pop music -- ranging from jazz classics, to French chansons and the Chinese genre.

Chinese crosstalk

Time: 19:30 hrs, Jan 9

The Ni Xiaban crosstalk squad, as students of Jiang Kun -- the renowned cross-talk artist -- has created a number of popular crosstalk performance works over the years. This time the team will provide laughter and fun for crosstalk lovers in the NETDA.

Adventure of the Three Little Pigs

Time: 19:30 hrs Jan 23

Vivid characters in a dynamic puppet show – the Adventure of the Three Little Pigs – will portray the travails of the three little pigs in this classic children's fairy tale on stage. The organizers say the kids will have a ball and the adults won't miss out on the fun, too.
