The Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area, or NETDA – located in the prefecture-level city of Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province -- was recently affirmed as the China-Japan-ROK (Jiangsu) Industrial Cooperation Demonstration Park, according to local media on Feb 19.
Along with the NETDA, six development zones were on the list of new China-Japan-ROK Industrial Cooperation Demonstration Parks.
The seven development zones reportedly have a strong track record of cooperation with Japan and South Korea and have formed a relatively complete industrial and supply chain with them, with the focus on the real economy and scientific and technological innovation and development.
The development zones will enjoy preferential policies in the comprehensive evaluation of development zones, as well as in attracting investment and for talent exchanges.
The NETDA Free Trade Zone got the original go-ahead, on Jan 3, 2013, from the State Council, for a 5.29-sq-km area, in two parts.
