NETDA woos more investment to boost economic upsurge

The Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area – located in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province -- held an investment attraction meeting on Feb 18, aimed at wooing more investors to boost the economic upsurge in the NETDA, according to reports in the local media.

Zhang Jianhua, secretary of the NETDA's Party working committee, presided over the meeting and presented a keynote speech. He stressed that during the current year, the major tasks of the development area should be focused on "project construction, investment promotion and capital introduction".

The NETDA's target for 2021 is to enter the ranks of the top 25 national level development areas in China and emerge among the top five in Jiangsu province.

Zhang also outlined four specific proposals in that regard, to advance the work of the NETDA:

First: the investment marketing team should comprise the most dynamic staff available. The development area already boasts a prosperous economic development trend and marketing personnel should reflect that in terms of their own drive, as well as their passion to attract new business.

Second: the investment team should have a clear grasp of the industry, pay attention to adding value and growing their own skills sets and maintain a professional quality.

Third: the investment staff should be models of cooperation. In terms of team building, they should be both competitive and cooperative. They should support and reinforce each other, working together to face up to the challenges of the job.

Fourth: the investment team should be the most dedicated of people. Dedication means knowing how to choose the right action to overcome hardships, dedication means perseverance and dedication means the ability to focus on the task at hand.
