On the morning of March 5, Wang Hui, mayor of Nantong city - located in East China's Jiangsu province - thoroughly inspected work related to the high-quality development of the Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area, or NETDA.
Wang stressed the need to implement decisions by the Nantong municipal government to create strong economic growth, attract investment, engage in the reconstruction of its space and expand its urban construction. He also called for the NETDA to become the vanguard of the city's high-quality development.
To the east of the high-end equipment manufacturing industrial park in the NETDA, Wang conducted a detailed inspection of the park's planning, industrial positioning and its attraction of new projects.
He urged management of the industrial park to further focus on complementary production and supply chains, attract more leading enterprises and to build industrial clusters.
The NETDA Free Trade Zone got the original go-ahead, on Jan 3, 2013, from the State Council, for a 5.29-sq-km area, in two parts.
