The service hall for the administrative examination and approval bureau of the Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area, or NETDA - located in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province - was recently recognized as one of the province's "10 best government service halls", according to local media.

Additionally, eight service centers of Nantong's Xiaohai sub-district were conferred with the title of "best optimal service center for local life". Five individuals were rated as a "star of e-government service", while the NETDA's government affairs service system for administrative examinations and approvals received the title of "excellent organization".

Efforts have reportedly been made to promote the high-quality development of government services in the NETDA.

Efforts have also been made to facilitate government services for key work in such core areas as reconstruction, attracting investment and project construction in the development zone, as well as to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China this year.

  • The NETDA Free Trade Zone got the original go-ahead, on Jan 3, 2013, from the State Council, for a 5.29-sq-km area, in two parts.
