In a bid to further boost its development, the Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area or NETDA – based in Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – is taking action.
The NETDA's market supervision bureau recently began implementing a program to enhance the quality and promote the development of key enterprises, as well as a "visit, assist and service" scheme, according to local media reports on March 26.
Sets up leadership team
In order to strengthen the overall leadership of key enterprises, a number of service assistance activities were launched in the NETDA. The leaders of other authorities in the development zone and officials from all departments and sub-bureaus have been included on the team.
Group of specialized work teams established
The lead group has three specialized categories: a quality (intellectual property) promotions team, an industrial development team and a space reengineering safety guarantee team, to provide various professional services.
Goal to introduce single policy for enterprises
A group of 54 key enterprises in the NETDA are being identified according to their functions and business situation. According to their respective position, a "one policy for one enterprise" service is being rolled out, to respond to the individual demands of businesses.
Guide book issued
The area has compiled a Guide Manual for Serving Major Projects. It will advise key enterprises on applications, examinations and approvals, as well as filing in documentation – while promoting the implementation of various policies.
Undertake specific measures
The aim with this innovation is to undertake special visits in the region and organize Party members and cadres to focus on important elements of projects and key enterprises. The goal is to publicize service policies, sort out development obstacles and resolve practical problems – so that big projects and key enterprises can respond to timely market supervision and establish a service brand for market supervision organs.
Service mechanism formed
Regular visits to local key enterprises have already been undertaken for major projects, according to their business demands and needs.
The NETDA Free Trade Zone got the original go-ahead, on Jan 3, 2013, from the State Council, for a 5.29-sq-km area, in two parts.
