To enhance cooperation on six industries, Suzhou municipal government and Alibaba, a Chinese e-commerce giant, signed an agreement for strategic cooperation on July 14, said an official.

The cooperation will focus on the fields of cloud computing, big data, transformation of the manufacturing industry, scientific innovation, smart city construction and social credit system establishment.

Suzhou has taken the lead in industrialization and urbanization and has made remarkable achievements of industrial growth and urban-rural integration development, while Alibaba enjoys core strengths in cloud computing, big data, e-commerce and Internet finance.

The pact aims to make use of advantages of both sides and boost their mutual development.
