JD business school and the Taicang based Suzhou Chien-Shiung Institute of Technology held a signing ceremony of strategic cooperation on July 18, marking the settlement of JD's official hypostatic training institution in the city.

JD business school is operated by JD.com, one of China's e-commerce giants, to provide professional and managerial training to its franchisees and retailers.

The school will run e-commerce training courses for senior students majoring in software engineering, international shipping and port management at the Chien-Shiung Institute of Technology. It will offer outstanding graduates internship opportunities at JD's e-commerce enterprises based in Suzhou.

The setting up of the school is designed to remove the bottleneck of skilled workers in the industry as well as fostering new talents directly.

Officials from the municipal bureau of commerce said that currently Taicang has some 100 e-commerce enterprises. JD business school will bring advanced e-commerce knowledge to the city, benefit local e-commerce enterprises, and open up new approaches for traditional industries to develop their businesses.
