| Hubin Commercial Street |
This is one of 10 commercial streets planned by the Wuxi government. It is in the middle of Hubin Rd, covering a 91,600-sq-m area and a construction area of 180,000-sq-m and cost 800 million yuan.
It was Wuxi’s first commercial street with “Distinguishing Features” according to the China Walking Commercial Street Committee.
Work on it began in 2006, and it opened in 2008. It has more than 1,200 businesses involved in shopping, catering, recreation, and leisure. And it and the surrounding area attract multitudes of tourists and hundreds of thousands of consumers from nearby areas and certainly have a bright future.
