The city of Wuxi in Jiangsu province will hold the 2014 Taihu International Industrial Equipment Expo from Sept 16 to 19, according to Wuxi Business News.
The expo, co-hosted by the Wuxi branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Wuxi Mechanical Industry Federation, will display equipment ranging from machine tools to urban subway facilities.
It will cover an exhibition area of over 40,000 square meters in the Wuxi Taihu International Expo Center, which will attract a number of famous foreign enterprises such as Samsung from South Korea and Pratic and Tooko from Japan. The exhibition will also involve major enterprises from mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
With the development of manufacturing industry in China and the establishment of the "world factory" in the Yangtze River Delta Area, Wuxi has become a major manufacturing base in the country for vehicle components and parts, complete equipment, precision machinery and engineering machinery products.
The expo has also become a reputable brand exhibition of industrial equipment in the southern Jiangsu region.
