A Wuxi media delegation led by Jin Zheng, deputy minister of the Wuxi Municipal Propaganda Department, paid a visit to the United States and Mexico, Dec 7-14, 2014.
Puebla is the fourth largest city in Mexico, a famous tourist city and home to Volkswagen's largest overseas manufacturing factory. The media delegation visited a world cultural heritage, the historic center of the city, and studied its experiences on the protection of cultural heritage and promotion of the tourism industry during the visit.
With more than 2,000 culture heritages, Puebla has more Latin American history and culture than any other city. Alejo Hindley, director of the Puebla tourism bureau, talked about the future tourism plans of Puebla and his impression of Wuxi. Meanwhile, a Wuxi media delegation also interacted with Puebla locals and visitors.
San Antonio is the seventh largest city and one of the most popular tourist cities and exhibition centers in the United States. Reynaldo Kano, director of the economic development bureau, gave a detailed introduction about the city's development in trade, tourism, education and media.
The media delegation visited the Southwest Research Institute and the University of Incarnate Word. They also interviewed relevant staff in the fields of education and scientific research to explore possibilities in strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the two cities.
